A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle. -James Keller

Can you count the number of people who’ve genuinely cared for you in your life? Not the people who done something for you and quickly demanding a favor in return or recognition but those who cared for you without expecting recognition, monetary gain, or any incentive at all. Those few individuals who it didn’t favor to help you but they cared enough to help you.

Those type of people are rare. Oddly, if you ask everyone in the world does this describe them and without hesitation this is what everyone will describe their character as.

However, turnover rates are climbing, relationships are falling apart, and trust is at an all-time rare.

Can you honestly light someone’s else’s candle without telling others you’re responsible for their shine or reminding them when they were dark you had light?

Ill like to state my claim now for why caring isn’t enough but caring full is what we must do to add trust into the mix.

How do you care full?

Caring full is about when making decisions that involves others, make does decisions with deliberate intent to ensure others are considered.

Considering others shouldn’t be vague to employ the fact that because you did something means you care. That’s manipulation.

Caring full asks you to take time and truly think how a person can be cared for in various ways.

To often, managers will make decisions that increase revenue, keep stakeholders happy and increase their stock in the eyes of their peers and superiors. People will say yes to helping others and a few moments later a hidden agenda is revealed.

Our focus must become serving others. We’re living in a world where considering others is obsolete.

You can assist others with a light without putting out or deeming your light.
